چکیده
Marine debris is one of the global problems due to human activities. One biggest loads marine in city Jakarta, namely Pluit Emplacement. Emplacement a special location for managing with largest burden discharged from urban areas. This study analyses aquatic waste's generation or debris, composition, and recycling potential at The research process starts formulating problem, conducting literature review, collecting data, analyzing it under ideal conditions planning. was conducted by sampling seven consecutive days, load count analysis determine composition debris. grouped using based on volume/volume (v/v) ratio. can reach 230 m3/day 303.6 tons/day. However, this value higher than other areas Jakarta Indonesia. consists Straw (PET), Food packaging, Drink cup, PET Bottle, Miscellaneous Plastic bags (PP), toys (HDPE), Metal, Styrofoam, biodegradable waste (wood, twigs leaves) which 0.1%; 3.1%; 2.2%; 22.5%; 4.0%; 0.7%; 0.8%; 0.6%; 62.8%, respectively. level Pluit's 67.86%, greatest being utilization into compost plastic waste, especially plastic. considers absence previous sustainable processing. These findings be considerations government making decisions carry out appropriate planning according characteristics that also used as consideration regions even countries characterization management.

Marine debris surveys on four beaches in Rizhao City of China
Compared with USA, UK, Brazil, Indonesia, Australia, etc., marine debris research in China has received less attention and few studies have attempted to quantify the abundance and mass of marine debris. In this paper, the abundance, composition and source of beached marine debris, and debris collection system and frequency as well as dustbins’ conditionwere investigated in Duodaohai, Wanpingkou...

Algae are composed of a diverse group of various aquatic organisms. Secondary or primary metabolites from these organisms may be potential bioactive compounds of interest for use in the development of new pharmaceutical agents. In this research, four species of marine algae, Ulva lactuca, Padina pavonica, Colpomenia sinuosa and Cystoseira myrica, isolated from Persian Gulf coasts were evaluated...
متن کاملLinking social drivers of marine debris with actual marine debris on beaches.
The drivers (social) and pressures (physical) of marine debris have typically been examined separately. We redress this by using social and beach surveys at nine Tasmanian beaches, across three coastlines and within three categories of urbanisation, to examine whether people acknowledge that their actions contribute to the issue of marine debris, and whether these social drivers are reflected i...

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: The eutrophication process is increased by anthropogenic or aquaculture facilities in marine ecosystems. DNA damage biomarkers for fish species detect genotoxic parameters for ecological risk assessment. The aim of the present study was to determine genotoxic potential induced by marine cage culture in Iskenderun Bay on gilthead sea bream (Sparus ...
متن کاملThe impact of debris on marine life.
Marine debris is listed among the major perceived threats to biodiversity, and is cause for particular concern due to its abundance, durability and persistence in the marine environment. An extensive literature search reviewed the current state of knowledge on the effects of marine debris on marine organisms. 340 original publications reported encounters between organisms and marine debris and ...
